Kentucky Commission on Women Executive Director Re-elected to National Post
Frankfort, Ky: Kentucky Commission on Women (KCW) Executive Director Glenda R. Woods, M.A.Ed., has been re-elected as vice president of the National Association of Commissions for Women (NACW). The announcement came during the 2007 NACW 38th Annual Business Meeting and Convention in Louisville.
“I am honored to have been re-elected vice president of this prestigious national association for women. The opportunity to serve another two-year term as an NACW officer highlights Kentucky’s involvement on the national level and the strong commitment of Governor and Mrs. Fletcher to the Commission on Women,” Woods said.
Woods was the first member of KCW to be appointed to the board.
Bonnie Coffey, Lincoln-Lancaster Women’s Commission, Lincoln, Nebraska, was re-elected president; Barbara Albu Lehman, Somerset County Commission for Women, Skillman, New Jersey was elected treasurer; and Cecilia Zamora, Marin County Women’s Commission, San Anselmo, California was elected secretary.
The NACW is the professional organization for over 220 Commissions for Women who are committed to equality and justice for women, providing support and expertise and serving as their national voice.
