FRANKFORT, KY -- The Kentucky Department of Travel has posted an electronic version of its Multicultural Tourism Guide on the department’s web site, www.kentuckytourism.com.

The e-guide, which may be accessed directly from the travel web site’s home page, highlights the state’s multicultural history, heritage and travel attractions and provides visitors information about sites, activities and destinations that include and interpret Kentucky’s rich multicultural legacy. The guide is not all-inclusive of the many multicultural tourism opportunities in Kentucky but serves as a basis to begin one’s discovery of what Kentucky has to offer.

The guide also spotlights various cultural tourism destinations throughout the Commonwealth, profiles famous Kentuckians with varied cultural backgrounds and offers tips for planning family trips and family reunions.

“We cannot achieve our full potential if we don’t understand and acknowledge the contributions to the Commonwealth made by all of our people,” said Kimberly Clay, director of multicultural tourism for the Kentucky Department of Travel.
