Media Advisory - Preview Tours of Ky. Experience Sept. 16
FRANKFORT, Ky. –The Kentucky Department of Travel & Tourism will conduct media tours of the nearly completed pavilions of the Kentucky Experience Presented by Fifth Third Bank at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Thursday Sept. 16.
The tours are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will give media representatives a chance to preview the 25,000 square feet of Kentucky Experience exhibits, products and entertainment that will provide an introduction to the diversity of the Bluegrass state for visitors to the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The games, set for Sept. 25-Oct. 10, will attract thousands of visitors from all 50 states and scores of foreign countries to the largest sporting event in Kentucky’s history. The games will be televised worldwide.
Department of Travel & Tourism Commissioner Mike Cooper and Deputy Commissioner Hank Phillips will escort media through the interactive exhibits and answer questions about the displays, products and entertainers that will represent all areas of the state. Cooper and Phillips will also be available for interviews from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
