Enjoy Halloween Fun with a Historical Twist at the “Ghosts of Frankfort” Tour
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2005) – Meet the famous ghost of Liberty Hall, the Gray Lady. See historic Frankfort characters and learn about their lives and deaths. Flee from Confederate raiders and participate in a séance. Inspect a 3,000-year-old mummy.
Liberty Hall Historic Site and the City of Frankfort’s Department of Parks and Recreation are hosting this “Ghosts of Frankfort” program Oct. 28-29.
Guests start the evening at the Orlando Brown House, 202 Wilkinson St., where they pay admission, have refreshments and enjoy Victorian Halloween games and activities. Guides then lead the group to Liberty Hall where “ghosts” of the Brown family tell haunting historical stories. Then buses shuttle guests to Fort Hill where they will be greeted by Civil War soldiers and a 3,000-year-old mummy.
Tours begin at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. each night. Reservations are required. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
