Kentucky offers an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors by visiting one of many farms that are open to the public in the fall months for purchases of Kentucky grown products or for enjoying some of the many activities offered by Kentucky farmers.

One such opportunity is Hinton's Orchard & Farm Market, located on Highway 210, 7 miles south of Hodgenville.  Jeremy & Joanna Hinton invite the public to visit their farm to take a hayride to the pumpkin patch or to try their luck in their 3 acre tractor-shaped corn maze.  The Hintons offer a variety of fresh picked apples as well as apple cider, jams, preserves, etc. in their store.  They also have a children's play area with a tractor to "drive", a corn box, a farm toy play area, and a straw fort.

This year, the Third Annual Pumpkinfest will be held Oct. 7 with food, live music, and activities for the whole family.

Hinton's Orchard & Farm Market is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the last visitors leave. The last tickets for the maze are sold at 8:30 p.m.  For more information, contact Jeremy Hinton at 270-325-3854 or hinton@alltel.net.

Hinton's Orchard & Farm Market is a member of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Kentucky Proud Program, the Kentucky Farm Bureau's Certified Roadside Market Program, and the Central Kentucky Agri-Tourism Association.
