Balloon Glow Promises to Light Up Bourbon Festival

BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- It’s going to be bigger and brighter than ever before, and the Kentucky Bourbon Festival Inc. invites you to attend opening festivities of the 16th annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival at the Balloon Glow on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 at the Nelson County Fairgrounds, US 31E in Bardstown, Ky. 

Twenty balloons will light up the evening sky while spectators have the opportunity to walk right up to the balloon baskets and talk to the crews. This free family event will feature music from WQMF, and concessions will be available. 

Weather permitting, Kevin Harned will broadcast weather live on WAVE 3 News at 7:00 p.m. from the station’s helicopter, AIR 3, and then land for festival
participants to see the chopper up close.

The canopies will begin glowing around 7:30 p.m. and last until approximately 9:00 p.m.
