FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 14, 2004) – Randy Fiveash, Commissioner of the Department of Travel announced the appointment of Suzanne Shearer as Director of Communications and Travel Industry Relations. 

Before joining the Kentucky Department of Travel, Shearer worked in marketing for the Kentucky Derby Museum, was a committee leader for the Kentucky Tourism Council for five years, and was Account Manager for The Allegis Group based in Hanover, Maryland. 

“I’m delighted with this addition to our marketing team,”  Fiveash said. “I know Suzanne will bring positive energy and experience to this position.” 

Shearer is a native of Somerset and a graduate of Centre College in Danville.
