Fall Feast Slated at Holly Hill Inn

MIDWAY, Ky. (Nov. 2, 2006) - Chef Jared Richardson of Wallace Station returns to Holly Hill Inn in Midway to prepare his Italian Fall Family Feast at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 (sold out), and Wednesday, Nov. 15. In July, another night was added to accommodate requests to attend Chef Jared’s inaugural Italian feast, so we made sure to schedule two nights for his fall feast!

The menu:

-Platters of Antipasti, including Jerusalem Artichoke and Chive Frittata, Eggplant Caviar, Baccala, Stuffed Cremini Mushrooms with Mattingly’s Asiago, Kentucky Proscuitto and Sage;Salad of the Seven Fishes (melange of seafood dressed in lemon and extra virgin olive oil with a crisp filet of Kentucky striped bass;Sorbetto di Mela Verda (Grandita of Granny Smith apple);Veal Osso Bucco with Wild Mushrooms (with herbed polenta and broccoli rabe);Arugula with Parmegiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil;Our Famous Tiramisu (Marsala custard layered with espresso soaked lady fingers and crowned with shaved dark chocolate.

Be prepared to talk, laugh and taste. All seating is communal and all the dishes will be passed family style. Holly Hill Inn’s co-owner and sommelier Chris Michel will be featuring Italian wines by the bottle and custom-paired with each course as a flight.
