Fat Tuesday Feast on Tap at Holly Hill in Midway
MIDWAY, Ky. -- The Holly Hill Inn’s third annual Fat Tuesday Feast is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Midway restaurant. Lisa Laufer, Holly Hill Inn’s daytime head sous chef, lends a hand in creating this dinner, a tribute to the foods of New Orleans and Louisiana. The menu includes Lisa’s famous etouffee, jambalaya, red beans and rice, chicken and andouille gumbo and bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Drink specials include hurricane punch and Jezebel cocktails.
Cost is $35; reservations are highly recommended at (859) 846-4732. Also, on Feb. 27, Holly Hill Inn will host Tapas Tuesday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Holly Hill will open on the last Tuesday of each month for a tapas, or small plates, menu and tasting of Spanish and other wines. Cost for each plate will range from $5-$10. No reservations are required. Holly Hill Inn is at 426 North Winter Street in historic Midway, Exit 65 off I-64. Hours are: lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday; dinner, 5:30-10 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday; brunch, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday. Reservations suggested for dinner and lunch at (859) 846-4732.
