Wednesday, May 15, 2013 BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (May 15, 2013) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined company and local officials at Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products LLC (KAAP) in Bowling Green to break ground on the company’s second expansion in recent months. Kobe Aluminum plans to add an 87,000-square-foot building, resulting in 100 new, full-time jobs and a capital investment of up to $66 million.

Monday, April 29, 2013 LEXINGTON Ky. (April 29, 2013) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined local leaders and company officials in Lexington for the grand opening of Birtley, a subsidiary of Shandong Borun Industrial Processing Equipment in China. The company, Kentucky’s first Chinese-owned manufacturing firm, has built a new 67,500-square-foot facility at Blue Grass Business Park in Lexington, and is creating 30 to 50 new, full-time jobs and investing approximately $10 million in the project.

Thursday, April 25, 2013 SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (April 25, 2013) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined local leaders and company officials at a ribbon-cutting and grand opening for Nifco America Corp.’s expanded operations in Shelbyville. The Japanese-owned automotive supplier has invested more than $4.3 million to purchase new, state-of-the-art injection molding equipment and has spent $3 million to add 73,000 square feet to its existing 115,000-square-foot facility, creating 100 new jobs.

The project will create 40 new, full-time jobs and entail an investment of $9.55 million in the Commonwealth.
