Governor Ernie Fletcher Announces More Than 100 New Jobs to be Added by Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel in Lexington
FRANKFORT, KY – Governor Ernie Fletcher and Cabinet for Economic Development Secretary Gene Strong, in conjunction with Commerce Lexington, today announced a decision by Lexington-based ARAMARK Uniforms and Career Apparel, Inc. (AUCA) to renovate existing office space on Russell Cave Road. Once completed, AUCA will centralize a portion of its business operations within the facility, creating more than 100 new jobs within the region.
“The decision by ARAMARK Uniform and Career Apparel to expand its operations and create more than 100 new jobs shows its confidence in our workforce and the Lexington community,” said Governor Fletcher. “My administration will continue working towards creating more and better economic development opportunities for all Kentuckians.”
According to Thomas Vozzo, President, AUCA, ARAMARK is committed to the local community and this business decision was a win-win situation for all involved.
“Without the excellent assistance of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and Commerce Lexington, we would not be locating this project in the Commonwealth,” Vozzo said. “This partnership has helped create a sound model of business operations and ARAMARK is pleased to be able to hire an additional 100 community residents and provide the successful candidates with job training.”
