Tuesday, February 07, 2012 LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 7, 2012) – Governor Steve Beshear today announced Jefferson National Financial Corp. (JNFC) will relocate its headquarters from New York to Louisville, creating 95 jobs at an average annual salary of more than $85,000. Jefferson National Financial also plans a 16,000-square-foot expansion to its existing or nearby facility in Louisville.

(Dec. 5, 2011) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined community leaders and officials from Westlake Chemical Corporation (NYSE:WLK) to announce the company will invest $40 million in its Calvert City plant, supporting the retention of 380 Kentucky jobs. The company plans to perform a major modification of ethylene furnaces that will ultimately reduce costs, improve operating efficiency and consume less energy. The modifications are expected to be completed by mid-2013.

(Sept. 19, 2011) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined community leaders and officials from Premium Services LLC and Worldwide Technologies in Simpson County to announce the two companies will add a total of 50 new jobs in Franklin. Friday, September 16, 2011 LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2011) – Governor Steve Beshear today joined community leaders and company officials from Florida Tile to cut the ribbon on the company’s new headquarters facility in Lexington. Florida Tile announced in July 2009 it was moving its headquarters from Lakeland, Fla., to Lexington. The opening will initially create 25 new jobs, growing to 51 over the term of the incentive agreement. Florida Tile’s capital investment in the project exceeds $3.7 million.
