2010 Small Business Connections Forum Series Makes Final Stop in Northern Kentucky
Conference designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs plug into resources
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 15, 2010) – The Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development is partnering with several economic development organizations in the Northern Kentucky Area Development District (ADD) to host the 2010 Small Business & Entrepreneurial Connections Forum. The forum, which will be the last in the 2010 series, will take place in Erlanger on Dec. 9.
“We’re excited to be working with so many awesome organizations within the Northern Kentucky Area,” said John E. Cole III, director of the Cabinet’s Small Business Services Division. “Our hope is that regional entrepreneurs and small business owners take full advantage of this unique opportunity to gain insight on a wealth of small business resources available to them from the local, regional and state levels.”
The cost to attend the conference is $10, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The event provides a dynamic opportunity to learn about federal, state and local resource organizations that provide financing, marketing and other services to help small businesses grow. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of entrepreneurs that currently operate small businesses throughout the region.
The Northern Kentucky small business forum will be held at the Receptions Conference Center, located at 1379 Donaldson Road in Erlanger. The forum, which is presented by Wells Fargo Insurance Services, will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
“Whether you’re currently trying to sustain your business, or thinking about starting a business, this forum is one of the best arenas to obtain additional information about programs that can help you in today’s precarious business environment,” added Cole. “It also is a great networking opportunity with experienced and seasoned small business owners and entrepreneurs who have been there and done that from across the Northern Kentucky Area Development District and beyond.”
Paul Kaboth, assistant vice president, in the Supervision and Regulation Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will speak on small business financing. Mark Simendinger, general manager of the Kentucky Speedway will deliver a keynote presentation after lunch. The Cabinet and its partner organizations will also present information on services provided to the small business community.
Attendees can register and obtain directions for the forum by contacting Pam Mastruserio with the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce at (859) 578-6384.
The Northern Kentucky Small Business Connections Forum is a joint effort of Community Ventures Corporation, the Small Business Development Center at Northern Kentucky in Highland Heights, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, Wells Fargo Insurance Services and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.
The 2011 Small Business Connection Series will be announced in early February.
