Louisville, KY… The World’s Championship Horse Show (WCHS) returns to Freedom Hall August 21-27 during the 101st Kentucky State Fair. With more than 2,000 horses entered in over 200 classes and total awards exceeding $1.2 million, the WCHS is considered the richest and most prestigious competition for American Saddlebreds, Harness-Hackney Ponies and Standardbred Road Horses. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 6.

World’s Championship Horse Show Ticket Prices and Special Discounts:

August 21-25      6:30 p.m.   $7.00 Advance*     $11.00 after August 17
August 26 & 27   7:00 p.m.   $11.00 Advance*   $16.00 after August 17

*Advance session seating (Upper Level seats only) and advanced gate admission must be purchased by midnight Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Tickets will be available at the Freedom Hall Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Call (502) 361-3100 or 1-800-487-1212 if calling outside of Louisville, or visit www.ticketmaster.com to purchase tickets using ticketFast. A weeklong reserved seat ticket with one gate admission per session is $127.00 plus $5.00 postage and handling. For weekly reserved seats call 1-800-231-8085. All prices include a $1 facility fee. 
 
Half price admission tickets for groups of four or more are available by
visiting www.kystatefair.org and downloading the voucher* online. Follow the
“Horse Shows” link on the navigation bar, click on the link “for more information” under the WCHS section, and download the ticket voucher today. Vouchers can be redeemed in person at the Freedom Hall Ticket Office, or by writing to:

Free morning performances are offered at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August
22 through Saturday, August 27 with paid gate admission to the Kentucky State Fair. Public seating will be available in the upper level of Freedom Hall.

All WCHS competitions are judged by a panel of equestrian professionals. This year Melissa Moore (Versailles, KY) and Frances “Fran” R. Crumpler (Simpsonville, KY) will judge the Equitation competitions. Moore, Crumpler, and Melinda Moore (Harrodsburg, KY) will judge the Saddle and Road Horses, and Crumpler, Melissa Moore, Melinda Moore and Rodney Hicks (Pittsfield, MA) will judge the Hackney, Harness and Roadster Ponies.
