“I would like to reaffirm my commitment to House Bill 344.  This bill and the corresponding committee substitute seeks to reform our elections in a way that is consistent with my pledge to bring good government to the citizens of the Commonwealth.  My primary focus is to see that the electioneering issue raised by Anderson v. Spear is addressed.  If we can clean up our election laws simultaneously, then I fully support that effort."
