Special Election for the 95th State House legislative district is Tuesday, February 17, 2004

The special election to fill the unexpired term of former 95th district state house representative Gregory D. Stumbo will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2004.  Representative Stumbo resigned his office on January 5, 2004, shortly before being sworn in as Kentucky’s Attorney General.

 

There will be two candidates on the ballot:

 

Charles “Chuck” Meade (D) of Hunter, Kentucky

Bobby Stumbo (R) of Hippo, Kentucky

 

“The polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for this special election,” stated Trey Grayson, Secretary of State and chief election officer of Kentucky.  “It is extremely important that everyone participate in the democratic process, and I urge all voters in the 95th state house district get out and vote on the seventeenth.”
