Frankfort, KY -- Kentucky voters have access to a number of online services that allow voters to prepare for the upcoming primary election.  Citizens can check their voter registration, find driving directions to their polling location and preview their ballots – all by visiting the Vote Kentucky website at   This online service was created by the Office of the Secretary of State with support from the Kentucky State Board of Elections.

“It is imperative that information about the voting process be as accessible as possible,” stated Secretary of Elaine Walker.  “By visiting citizens can better educate themselves about the candidates and possible initiatives for which they will be voting on Election Day and have access to important information for the election process.”

Kentuckians who do not know where they are supposed to vote can find their voter information via the State Board of Election’s Voter Information Center (VIC).  The Voter Information Center can provide information on a particular registered voter’s polling location, party registration and eligibility to vote in partisan primaries, and driving directions from the registered address to the polling location.  The service can now be accessed from many mobile devices.

“I encourage voters to check their polling location in the Voter Information Center, polling locations can change and we want to make sure people know how to get to the polls on Election Day.  Checking this information and your online ballot can help eliminate confusion on Election Day,” noted Secretary Walker.

The Office of the Secretary of State worked with County Clerks across the Commonwealth as well as with election services providers, Harp Enterprises and Kentuckiana Election Services, to assemble sample ballots from every Kentucky county online.

Online services also include a candidate database where voters can view information about candidates that file with the Office of the Secretary of State.  Candidates that have submitted information to the Secretary of State’s office are included in this service.  Most of those candidates have their photos, email addresses, and links to their campaign websites available via this online tool.

Citizens can access the Office of the Secretary of State’s Vote Kentucky! website at  That site also contains a link to the Office of the Secretary of State’s website,, State Board of Elections website,, and the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance website,, where other election information is located.
