| State Board of Elections Appoints New Members to the McCracken County Board of Elections and Certifies Primary Vote Totals |

The State Board of Elections met today and among their actions appointed members to county board of elections and certified the vote totals from the May 18, 2004 primary election.
Among the more notable appointments were Republican Richard Noss and Democrat Ann Boatwright, both of Paducah, to the McCracken County Board of Elections. Appointees will serve four-year terms beginning July 1, 2004.
In regards to the McCracken County appointments, Secretary of State Trey Grayson noted “with the circumstances surrounding the recent Primary election, we felt that a change was necessary.”
Republican Mimi Lowry of Paducah and Democrat James Clinton Houser of Boaz were not reappointed.
The Board also certified the May 18, 2004 primary elections results. Official results will be available online on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at www.kyelect.com.
