Winter Trade Days At Fort Boonesborough Set For Nov. 24-25
RICHMOND, Ky. – Fort Boonesborough State Park will hold its annual Winter Trade Days on Nov. 24-25.
Merchants and traders in 18th century clothing will set up shops in the cabins and blockhouse. All items for sale are typical of things available in the 18th century. Both the Fort Boonesborough Gift Shop and 18th Century Transylvania Store inside the fort will be open also.
Admission is free for this event. The gates will be open Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more info on this and all special events at Fort Boonesborough, go to www.fortboonesboroughlivinghistory.org
The campground at Fort Boonesborough is open year-round. Camping reservations are taken during the winter months, Nov. 18-March 14, by calling the park. For more information, call the park at 859-527-3131. Fort Boonesborough is located near Richmond. From I-75, take exit 95 to KY 627. On I-64, exit at Winchester to KY 627.
