Pennyrile Forest Will Give Away Trees for Arbor Day

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will hold a free tree give-away to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 11, 2009. One tree will be given per person while supplies last. The give-away will start at 10 a.m.

The trees will be accompanied by a handy tree-planting guide, as well as some information about the type of tree you receive. Honorary tree planting will be held at noon. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to beautify your yard with a free tree from Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park.

Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park features a lodge, cottages, campgrounds, and the Clifty Creek Restaurant. Activities range from boating to fishing and golf.
The resort is 20 miles northwest of Hopkinsville, on KY 109 N. From the Western Kentucky Parkway, exit at Dawson Springs and take KY 109 south.
