Possum Ridge 5K At Taylorsville Lake Set For June 13
TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. – The Possum Ridge 5K, the third of four races in the State Park Race Series, is scheduled for June 13 at Taylorsville Lake State Park.
There is a $15 registration fee for participants who register by June 12. The fee is $20 on the day of the race. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. at the park picnic shelters.
New to the race series this year is a “Get Fit” walk for those who don’t wish to run. The walk also requires registration. Walkers are eligible for door prizes and will receive a t-shirt.
The event is open to runners of all ages. Awards will be given out for all age groups. T-shirts will be given to those who pre-register; shirts will be given out to those who register on race day while supplies last.
To reach Taylorsville Lake from Louisville, take I-64 to the Gene Snyder Freeway south and KY 155 to Taylorsville; turn east on KY 44 and drive three miles to the park. From Bluegrass Parkway, take KY 55 exit to Taylorsville. For more information, call Brian Pharis at 502-477-8713.
The fourth and last race in the series is the Magnolia 5K, set for July 11 at Rough River Dam State Resort Park.
