Possum Ridge 5K Set For June 16 At Taylorsville Lake State Park
TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. – The Possum Ridge 5K, the fourth segment of the Kentucky State Parks Race Series, will be held June 16 at Taylorsville Lake State Park.
The race starts at 8:30 a.m. ET, with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. Meet at the picnic area at shelter one at the park southeast of Louisville. Registration is $15 prior to the race and $20 on race day.
The Possum Ridge 5K is the fourth of five races in the series. The last race is the July 14 Magnolia 5K at Rough River Dam State Resort Park.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner of each race and first and second place winners in each male and female age division. The grand prize winners, who must compete in all five races, will be named at the July 14 Magnolia 5K.
The winners of the May 19 Barren River 5K Classic were Shelley Cameron of Louisville and Matthew Tabor of Alvaton.

Taylorsville Lake State Park offers a campground, horse camping, boating, fishing and hiking trails.
To get to Taylorsville Lake from Louisville, take I-64 to the Gene Snyder Freeway south and KY 155 to Taylorsville; turn east on KY 44 and drive three miles to the park. From the Bluegrass Parkway, take KY 55 exit to Taylorsville.
