Winter Hours for Kentucky State Park Historic Sites

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The winter hours of operation for some Kentucky State Park historic sites have been revised due to the economic downturn. Listed below are the historic sites and their hours and days of operation.

 

 

Big Bone Lick State Park (Union) – Grounds open year round. Museum/gift shop open Thursday through Sunday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. January through March.

 

Butler-Turpin House (At General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton) – House open March 1-Nov. 1; by appointment in winter.

 

Columbus-Belmont State Park (Columbus) – Grounds open Nov. 1-March 31. Gates close at 3 p.m. Museum/gift shop open April 1-Oct. 31. Museum open by appointment Nov. 1-March 30.

 

Constitution Square State Park (Danville) – Buildings closed January-February. Open Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in March. Museum/gift shop closed January-February. Open Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in March. Open Monday through Saturday starting April 1.

 

Dr. Thomas Walker State Historic Site (Barbourville) – Grounds open year round. Putt-putt golf open April 1-Nov. 1. Museum/gift shop open April 1-Nov. 1.

 

Fort Harrod State Park (Harrodsburg) – Grounds open year-round. Fort/gift shop and meeting facility open March 1-Oct. 31. Mansion Museum open April 1-Oct. 31.

  

Fort Boonesborough State Park (Richmond) – Fort and museum open January-March 10, a.m.-4 p.m. weekends only Friday-Sunday.

 

Jefferson Davis State Historic Site (Fairview) – Grounds open year-round. Monument, museum and gift shop open June 1-Oct. 31.

 

John James Audubon State Park (Henderson) – Cottages open year-round. Museum/gift shop open Dec. 1-Feb. 28 Wednesday through Sunday.

 

Levi Jackson State Park (London) – Grounds and campground open year-round. Museum/gift shop open April 1-Oct. 31.

 

Lincoln Homestead State Park (Springfield) – Cabins open May 1-Oct. 31.

 

My Old Kentucky Home State Park (Bardstown) – House/visitor center and gift shop open December-March 1, Wednesday through Sunday 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m.

 

Old Mulkey Meetinghouse (Tompkinsville) – Closed December-April 1.

 

Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site (Perryville) – Grounds open year round. Museum/gift shop closed January-February.

 

Waveland State Historic Site (Lexington) – Grounds open year-round. Home open April 1-Dec. 23; by appointment in winter months.

 

White Hall State Historic Site (Richmond) - Open April 1-Dec. 23; by appointment in winter months.

 

Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site (Wickliffe) – Closed December-February. Open Friday-Sunday only in March. Open April–November Wednesday to Sunday.

 

William Whitely House State Historic Site (Stanford) – Grounds open seasonally. House open April 1-Oct. 31; by appointment during winter months.
