State Park Book Will Be Featured At Kentucky Book Fair Nov. 7

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Both the writer and photographer behind the new book “The Complete Guide To Kentucky State Parks” will be at the 28th Kentucky Book Fair on Nov. 7 at the Frankfort Convention Center.

The Book Fair expects more than 200 authors, artists and illustrators to be on hand from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to sign books and talk to readers. The event is free.

Among those who will be there will be writer Susan Reigler and photographer Pam Spaulding, who spent more than a year visiting and researching the parks to produce “The Complete Guide to Kentucky State Parks.”

The book includes 158 color photos and a section on each of the system’s parks with details about special events, lodging, camping, trails, golf courses, historic sites and more.

The book, published by The University Press of Kentucky, is also available at state park gift shops.

The Book Fair is Kentucky's premier literary event and one of the largest of its kind in the nation. It is sponsored by the The State Journal, Frankfort's daily newspaper, and co-sponsored by the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives and The University Press of Kentucky.

Money raised by the fair through the sale of books is used for grants for school and public libraries throughout Kentucky.
