Nature Photography Weekend April 20-22 At Cumberland Falls State Resort Park
CORBIN, Ky. – Cumberland Falls State Resort Park will host its Nature Photography Weekend April 20-22.
The Cumberland Falls area is a perfect spot for nature photography – abundant waterfalls, natural stone arches, diverse plant and animal life. This weekend is for the beginner and the advanced photographer.
There will be a competition that starts at noon on Friday, April 20. This year’s event is limited to 125 people. Participants will have a choice of three classes to enter: amateur digital, masters digital and a slide film class.
The featured speakers will be Tom and Pat Corey, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., who have published two books on photography. They’ll speak Friday at 9 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m.
Registration is $40 per person.
Guests may stay in the historic Dupont Lodge or in a cottage. The Riverview Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cumberland Falls also has a campground. For reservations and information, call 1-800-325-0063 or email Bret Smitley at BretA.Smitley@ky.gov
