Murder Mystery Weekends Planned At Cumberland Falls and Carter Caves State Parks

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Two state parks have something special planned in March for all you detectives out there.

 

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park near Corbin and Carter Caves State Resort Park at Olive Hill are planning murder mystery weekends where guests get to investigate “murders.”

 

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park offers a “Murder at the Falls” on March 9-10 with Upstage Productions.

 

This murder mystery weekend will be filled with interactive entertainment that won’t soon be forgotten.  Once the murder is discovered, a nest of clues will be unearthed and guests will begin working to find a solution. Following the clues closely will reveal the guilty party.  The guest who figures out ‘who dunnit’ will win a future weekend stay.

 

The “Murder at the Falls” package price is $150 per person based on double occupancy.  Package includes: two nights lodging, hors d’oeuvres reception, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Sunday breakfast, murder mystery entertainment, and a nature walk.

 

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is equipped with a restaurant, lodging, cottages and campgrounds.  While there one can enjoy white water rafting, fishing, nature trails and other recreational opportunities.  For more information call 1-800-325-0063.

 

Carter Caves State Resort Park will offer “Murder Mayhem” March 23-25, also produced by Upstage Productions. Professional actors will provide clues throughout the weekend that will tell you “who dunnit.”  You will become a master sleuth as you take part in a crime scene investigation, “minute mysteries” competition and a scavenger hunt throughout the park that will have your mind in turmoil! The detectives who solve the crime will be put in a drawing for a future weekend stay at Carter Caves. 

 

The lodging package features two nights lodging, hors d’oeuvres, five meals, the murder mystery, a cave tour and nature walk for $159.95 plus tax per person double occupancy ($204.95 for single occupancy.) There’s also a package without lodging that includes the three meals, murder mystery program, cave tour and nature walk for $94.95 per person.
