Tri-State Model Railroad Show at Greenbo Lake State Park This Weekend

GREENUP, Ky. – Railroad enthusiasts – of both model and passenger trains – will have two days full of interesting activities just for them at the Tri-State 25th Annual Model Train Railroad Show March 15-16, 2008.

To be held at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park in Greenup, the show will feature operating model trains in all gauges, toy and collectible trains, railroad memorabilia, books, videos, china, silver, and lanterns. There will even be rides on an operating 7-1/2 gauge steam engine. Some 75 vendor tables will have items for sale.

Admission to the Silver Anniversary Show is free. Show hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday March 15 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday March 16.

The show is sponsored by the Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. 

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park features a lodge with 32 guest rooms and Anglers Cove Restaurant overlooking Greenbo Lake. Activities include camping, fishing, hiking and swimming. The park is located in Greenup County about 15 miles west of Ashland. From I-64, take exit 172 north and follow Hwy. 1. For specific directions, call 800-325-0083.
