State Parks Extend $50 Lodge Room Discount Into 2009
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Just in time for the holidays, the Kentucky State Parks are extending a coupon offer good for a $50 lodge room Sundays through Thursdays.
The latest offer is good from Jan. 4 to Feb. 26, 2009. Coupons are available at www.parks.ky.gov. One coupon is good for each stay and can be used for up to five nights Sunday –Thursday. Choosing one night or more would make the perfect winter getaway or holiday gift package.
“We had a great response to this coupon discount this fall and decided to extend it,” said Parks Commissioner Gerry van der Meer. “Our 17 resort parks with lodges are great places to visit any time of the year.”
All resort parks all have lodges, restaurants, gift shops, hiking trails, wildlife viewing and other activities. Two parks – Lake Barkley and Lake Cumberland – have indoor swimming pools. Some resort parks have historic sites and museums on park grounds or other state park historic sites located nearby. And many offer golf if the weather cooperates.
The Department of Parks is offering the same coupon discount for Sundays through Thursdays through Dec. 30, 2008.
This offer is good for leisure travel only and is not to be combined with other offers. A limited number of rooms for this offer are available at each park. Taxes not included.
Gift cards are also available for state parks – they make great holiday gifts.
More details about the gift cards and each state park is available at www.parks.ky.gov
