Greenbo Lake to Hold Fishing Tournament For Juniors July 26
GREENUP, Ky. -- Greenbo Lake State Resort Park plans to stage a junior fishing tournament on Saturday July 26, 2008.
The fishing tournament is for young anglers 15 years old and under. Prizes will be awarded for both boys and girls in each age group for biggest fish caught and most fish caught. Age groups are 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and 13-15.
Registration for the free event starts at 8 a.m. Saturday July 26. The tournament will take place at the Greenbo Lake Boat Dock from 10 a.m. until noon. There is no fishing from boats only around Greenbo Boat Dock area.

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on KY 1, 18 miles north of I-64 from Grayson exit or 8 miles south of U.S. 23 (The Country Music Highway) on KY 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge with 36 rooms, a Gift Shop, and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant. The park has a 225 acre lake for boating and fishing, tennis courts, and 25 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The park’s newly renovated campground recently reopened to the public. Greenbo Amphitheatre features musical concerts and plays during the summer and fall.
