FRANKFORT, Ky.There is no better way to experience nature at its most peaceful and beautiful than a canoe trip. Jenny Wiley State Resort Park near Prestonsburg offers just that opportunity in a series of guided, overnight trips over three weekends.

Explore the upper reaches of Dewey Lake in this guided excursion. The day ends at a youth camp where guests will enjoy a cookout, swap stories around the campfire, and stay in a rustic cabin. The next morning, enjoy a nature hike before canoeing back to the park marina.

The trips are scheduled for May 13-14, June 3-4 and Aug. 12-13. The registration fee of $50 covers meals and activities.
