Evening Golf Scrambles Are Underway at Barren River
Barren River Lake State Resort Park has launched twice-a-week golf scrambles that will continue throughout the summer at the park’s course in Barren County. From now through Sept. 28, 2008, Barren River’s Nine Hole Scrambles will provide lively competition every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 5 p.m. There is a $15 registration fee for each player. Golfers can put together their own team or find scramble partners who have already signed up at the course.
To register, call Jimmy Bewley at the park’s golf shop, 1-800-295-1876 or 270-646-4653. You must call by 2 p.m. on the day you would like to play.
Besides golf, the park’s attractions include boating, fishing and swimming on the 10,000 acre lake. Hiking and camping are also popular activities. The park features a lodge and the Driftwood Restaurant.
