Barren River 5K Classic Scheduled For May 19
LUCAS, Ky. – The Barren River 5K Classic on May 19 is the next race in the 3rd Annual Kentucky State Park Race Series.
The race starts at 8:30 a.m. CT. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. at the Barren River Lake State Park Resort lodge near Glasgow.
The Barren River 5K is the third of five races in the series. The remaining races are the June 16 Possum Ridge 5K at Taylorsville Lake State Park and the July 14 Magnolia 5K at Rough River Dam State Resort Park.
The pre-registration fee of $15 and a race day fee of $20.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner of each race and first and second place winners in each male and female age division. The grand prize winners, who must compete in all five races, will be named at the July 14 Magnolia 5K at Rough River.
The winners at the April 14 Spring Classic at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park were Stephen Houston of Shelbyville and Shelley Cameron of Louisville.
