Appalachian Heritage Buffalo Night Jan. 17 At Natural Bridge

SLADE, Ky. – Natural Bridge State Resort Park will host its annual Appalachian Heritage Buffalo Night on Jan. 17 from 5-9 p.m.

 

The selections will include roasted buffalo steamship round, BBQ buffalo ribs, buffalo meatloaf, country fried chicken and fried catfish filet. Side items will feature country fried corn on the cob, green beans, whipped potatoes, soup and salad bar and assorted desserts. Buffet price is $16.95; children $8.95 (12 and under).

 

This popular annual event features The Brushfire Bluegrass band and an Appalachian Heritage Workshop.  The band will perform 5:20-7 p.m. in the Hemlock Lodge lobby.

 

The workshop will be 7:30-9 p.m. in the Hemlock Lodge Meeting Room. This program by John and Lelana Tierney will demonstrate some of the skills that pioneers used to survive on the frontier.
