“Scandals and Ghost Stories” Weekends at White Hall State Historic Site
RICHMOND, Ky. – Do you love a good ghost story or a bit of juicy gossip? White Hall State Historic Site will be hosting special tours as part of the “Scandals and Ghost Stories” for two weekends in July.
The tours will be open the evenings of July 15, 16, 22 and 23 and will be at 8, 9 and 10 p.m. each night. The ticket price is $7. Reservations can be made by calling 859-623-9178.
White Hall stands as a testament to architectural history and honors Cassius Marcellus Clay, who was a politician, emancipationist, and friend of Abraham Lincoln. White Hall began as an eight-room Georgian design completed in 1798 and remodeled in the mid 1860's to its current Italianate style adorned with Corinthian columns and boasting sixteen foot ceilings. White Hall is located in Richmond, off I-75 at exit 95.
