Possum Ridge 5K Set For June 17 At Taylorsville Lake
FRANKFORT, Ky. – The third race in the 2006 Kentucky State Parks’ 5K Race Series will be held Saturday, June 17, at Taylorsville Lake State Park in Spencer County at 9 a.m. (Eastern Time).
Registration for the “Possum Ridge 5K” will start at 8 a.m. at the park picnic area. The entry fee is $15 before the day of the race and $18 on race day. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers as well as the first and second place finishers in each age group.
This race is the third in a series of five races sponsored by Kentucky State Parks.
The remaining races in the series are the “Magnolia 5K” on July 15 at Rough River SRP in Falls of Rough, and the “Two Rivers 5K” on Aug. 5 at General Butler SRP in Carrollton. (The General Butler race was rescheduled due to weather conditions.)
A grand prize will be awarded to the male and female runners who enter all five events and earn the most points. Runners who finish all five races will receive a certificate of recognition and be registered for a special drawing.
