Winners In Kentucky State Park Race Series Announced
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Shelley Cameron of Louisville won all five 5K races in the 3rd Annual Kentucky State Park Race Series to capture the grand prize in the women’s division Saturday at Rough River Dam State Resort Park.
Stephen Houston of Shelbyville won the men’s division, winning three of the five races including the Magnolia 5K at Rough River.
The Magnolia 5K was the final race in the series, which began in February. Points were awarded to runners who took part in the five races for their overall finish and age group finish. The two overall winners each received a trophy and $100 gift card.
Finishing second in the overall competition was Renny Smith of Green County for the women and Harry Purdy of Oakland, Ky., for the men.
