FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky.Rough River Dam State Resort Park will celebrate the end of summer with an Old Fashioned Cookout on Sept. 17, 2011.

 

The Grayson Landing Restaurant will move outside to the pavilion near the beach for the day, serving from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The menu will feature pork barbecue, grilled chicken, brats, hamburgers and hot dogs as well as side dishes, salads and desserts. Adults are $10, children ages 6-12 are $5, and children 5 and under are free. Tax and drinks are included.

 

There will also be a beach party, cornhole tournament and drawings for prizes.

 

Grayson’s Landing Restaurant will be closed all day on Sept. 17. Breakfast will be offered Continental style in the lodge lobby. 

Rough River Dam State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, campground, fishing, boating, mini-golf and gift shop. Call the park for more information or to make reservations at 1-800-325-1713.

The park is on KY 79. From the Western Kentucky Parkway, exit on KY 79 north from Caneyville or exit on KY 259 north at Leitchfield and travel to the park via KY 54 from Leitchfield. Driving south, take KY 79 from Hardinsburg and U.S. 60.
