Battle of Perryville Schedule Announced
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Visitors to the Battle of Perryville 144th Anniversary Reenactment will be able to view three battles during the weekend, along with a series of lectures, tours, and Civil War demonstrations.
The schedule for the national Civil War reenactment at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site features dozens of opportunities for visitors, ranging from cavalry demonstrations to music and dance from the 1860s. More than 5,000 participants are expected for the Oct. 7-8 reenactment, which recreates the largest Civil War battle in Kentucky that took place in 1862.

Advance tickets are being sold through Sept. 22 with a $3 discount available for one-day and two-day adult tickets. One-day tickets are $15 and two-day tickets are $20 for adults at the gate. Children ages 6-12 are $5 (second day free) and children 5 and under are free. Advance ticket holders can also bypass the main admission line.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early because of the time it takes to park and get to the state park. Parking will take place at Perryville in Boyle County and the admission ticket includes a bus ride to the park. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a chair.

Living History Village
The Living History Village is a portrayal of the town of Perryville in early fall 1862. Merchants and farm families will be busily going about their daily life in the small farming community of Perryville. Living historians will recreate the Parks Store, the
Barker Hotel, Tucker’s Tavern and many other prominent buildings. The Living History Village is interactive and guest participation is highly encouraged.
The village will open to the public on Saturday 9:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. Sunday camp will again open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. Activities and scenarios will be ongoing throughout the day.
The Singing Milkmaids will perform throughout Saturday and Sunday hourly at the Opera House. The Opera House will be open Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. for a special Variety Show – Napoleon’s Conquest of Egypt.
