Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park Celebrates Birds May 13

FRANKFORT, Ky. - Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park will celebrate International Migratory Bird Day on May 13 with activities throughout the day for bird lovers.

 

The day will begin at 7 a.m. (CT) with a bird hike. A bird migration slide presentation will be at 10 a.m. followed by a free bird poster give-a-way from 1-3 p.m. There will be a live bird show at 7 p.m.

 

There is a registration fee of $2 per person if registered by May 12. The fee is $5 after May 12.  Registered participants will receive a 10 percent discount on lodging or camping.  The registration fees will be used to purchase birdseed for wild birds at Pennyrile, near Dawson Springs in Western Kentucky.
