State Parks Serve Easter Buffets
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Easter is one of the top holidays of the year for dining out. Find out why at a Kentucky State Resort Park.
The parks offer a special Easter Day Buffet on April 16, featuring a fresh fruit and cheese bar, carved beef, Kentucky country ham, roast leg of lamb with mint jelly, and assorted vegetables and desserts.
The buffet will be served from noon to 8 p.m. The cost is $14.95 for adults and $6.95 for children, including beverage.
The Department of Parks manages 17 resort parks across the state, all with dining rooms. All of them will offer the Easter Buffet; however, Pennyrile Forest and Buckhorn Lake state resort parks will have abbreviated menu selections.
The Kentucky State Park System is composed of 52 state parks plus an interstate park shared with Virginia. The Department of Parks, an agency of the Commerce Cabinet, operates 17 resort parks with lodges -- more than any other state.
