Nolin Fest Returns to Nolin Lake State Park Aug. 25-27
BEE SPRING, Ky. – Visitors to Nolin Lake State Park and the surrounding area will be able to enjoy music, food, games and crafts with the return of Nolin Fest Aug. 25-27.
The free event honors Rex Hurt, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ranger who started the event in Edmonson County in the late 1990s.
Friday’s events start at 1 p.m. (CT) include a most original campsite contest that lasts all weekend and a karaoke contest. Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, guests will be able to play volleyball, take part in a beach scavenger hunt, a fishing rodeo, boat show, battle of the bands at noon and fire works. Sunday will feature a boat parade and motorcycle show.
Events will be held around Nolin Lake at the marina at Montardier and the state park’s Brier Creek Beach.
