Kentucky State Parks Plan New Year’s Eve Celebrations For 2010
FRANKFORT, Ky. – You can ring in 2010 at a number of Kentucky State Parks with New Year’s celebrations and parties.
Several state resort parks across Kentucky are having parties, dances and dinners on Dec. 31 to say goodbye to 2009 and welcome in a new year. The resorts have lodges, cottages, restaurants and other facilities and many parks will be offering overnight packages that include meals and a party, dance or show.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park, Lucas
New Year’s Getaway Package
“Once in a blue moon” it is good to get away from the hustle and bustle of a hectic holiday season. Arrive early and enjoy a relaxing sunset over the lake. Your New Year’s Getaway Package includes a prime rib and shrimp scampi dinner buffet for two, one night’s lodging in the Louie B. Nunn Lodge and breakfast buffet for two, all for $130 per couple. Carter Caves State Park, Olive Hill
New Year’s Eve Package

Happy New Year! Last year was such a blast that the band Klassyc Tymes will return again to ring in the new year with you here. This seven-piece classic rock band is from Southern Kentucky. Klassyc Tymes covers great tunes from the 50s through the 80s. The band will play from, 9 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. CST.
