Kids’ Caterpillar Weekend Aug. 24-25 at Natural Bridge State Resort Park
SLADE, Ky. – Natural Bridge State Resort Park invites families and anyone who is a kid at heart to the Kids’ Caterpillar Weekend, Aug. 24-25.
This special event provides a unique opportunity to discover the diverse world of caterpillars, moths, and butterflies, and to and experience these amazing creatures that are in some cases only an arm’s reach away!
Kids’ Caterpillar Weekend welcomes families of all sizes and nature lovers of all ages to participate in guided caterpillar walks, special presentations filled with fantastic photographs, face-painting, crafts, caterpillar-related games, a butterfly expedition and an amazing moth program on Saturday night.
Onsite registration for Kids’ Caterpillar Weekend will be available throughout the weekend approximately 30 minutes prior to each activity. The evening activities will be held in the Woodland Center, while the Saturday morning activities will meet inside the Hemlock Lodge.
The onsite registration fee is $12 per adult and $7 per child (ages 15 & under). Please note that parents or guardians must accompany children at all times.
A discounted registration fee of $8 per adult and just $5 per child will be available to those who choose to pre-register. You can pre-register by calling the naturalist office at Natural Bridge State Resort Park no later than Saturday, Aug. 18.

Natural Bridge State Resort Park is home to one of the largest and most famous natural arches in Kentucky and is surrounded by breathtaking topography and unique flora and fauna within the Daniel Boone National Forest.
