Operation Clean Sweep Planned at Natural Bridge On April 16
SLADE, Ky. -- Natural Bridge State Resort Park is hosting “Operation Clean Sweep” on April 16 and is inviting groups and individuals to visit the park to help in this effort.
This cleanup will focus on park trails, roadways and lower park areas and will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided to all volunteers.
All participants will be offered a free lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips, baked beans and refreshments. Anyone interested in assisting in this effort are asked to RSVP by calling 606-663-2214 or email douglas.wilder@ky.gov for more information.
Natural Bridge State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, the Sandstone Arches Restaurant, gift shop and hiking trails. For more information or for room reservations, phone 1-800-325-1710. The resort near Slade is 52 miles southeast of Lexington off the Mountain Parkway on KY 11.
