Turkey Strut 5K Set for Sept. 24 at Lake Cumberland
JAMESTOWN, Ky. – Lace up your running and walking shoes for the first Turkey Strut 5K at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park on Sept. 24, 2011.
The race begins at 8 a.m. (Central time). Participants will be eligible for door prizes and will receive a race T-shirt. The T-shirts are guaranteed for preregistered participants and are available for race-day registrants while supplies last.
The registration fee is $15 for runners and $10 for walkers if you register by Sept. 21. The fee after Sept. 21 is $20 for runners and $15 for walkers.
Strollers, children of all ages and pets on a leash are all welcome. Awards will be given to men and women in six age categories as well as the overall winners.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park near Jamestown has a lodge, cottages, Rowena Landing Restaurant, disc golf course, indoor pool and hot tub, gift shop, fishing, picnic areas and hiking trails. Lake Cumberland State Resort Park is 45 miles west of Somerset. Take the Cumberland Parkway to U.S. 127.
