Mystery and a Meal at Lake Barkley State Resort Park’s Dinner Theater Sept. 15
CADIZ, Ky. – Back by popular demand, Lake Barkley State Resort Park’s Dinner Theater series presents another murder mystery where you, the audience, try to figure out this whodunit.
Take a trip back to the Old West with the murder mystery “A Black Day at Bad Rock” on Sept. 15. The bridge ahead has been washed out, and while repairs are made, you are invited to sit a spell at Molly’s Tavern in Bad Rock. But beware, tensions are high at Bad Rock and people are not always who they seem.
This murder mystery will be performed by Laughing Corpse Productions out of Nashville, Tenn., with lots of audience participation. Guests are encouraged to wear their best Western gear, so grab your cowboy hat (and magnifying glass) and head out to Lake Barkley State Resort Park on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 7-9 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
While piecing the clues together, you will also enjoy a themed all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Tickets are on sale now for $45/person, and that includes dinner and entertainment. Limited seating is available, so get your tickets now. For tickets or additional information call the lodge at 1-800-325-1708, or email mary.schmidt@ky.gov.
Besides the lodge with its spectacular view of the lake, the park includes cottages, the Windows on the Water Restaurant, a seasonal campground, 18-hole golf course, fitness center with indoor pool, marina, fishing, tennis courts, hiking trails, gift shop, and recreational and nature programming. The park is near Cadiz and the Land Between the Lakes, at 3500 State Park Road, just off Interstate 24. Exit at Highway 68. From the exit go west toward Cadiz and the park.
