Commerce Secretary Jim Host and local officials today dedicated the new 9-hole golf course at Kincaid Lake State Park near Falmouth.

“This new course will serve both as a valuable recreational resource for this community and as a catalyst for economic growth through tourism,” Secretary Host said.

The 3,285-yard, par 36 course features several holes with panoramic views from high ridges. Some holes are framed by dense, scenic woodlands.

The project consultant was Gresham, Smith and Partners of Louisville. The course designer was George Golf Design Inc. of Richmond, Va. Total project cost was $3.7 million.

Greens fees for one 9-hole round are $8 during the weekdays, $10 for holidays and weekends. A second round adds $6 to those costs. Cart fees are $6 per person for one round, $11 for two. For tee times, contact the pro shop at 859-654-8555.
