Kenlake Hosts Bowfishing Seminar April 8-9
AURORA, Ky. – Kenlake State Resort Park is hosting a free bowfishing seminar April 8-9.
The seminar includes classroom-style instruction on equipment, safe practices, types of fish, best season, and proper handling and cleaning of fish.
Participants will learn to shoot through a simulated hunt situation and will also shoot at targets. Bowfishing is a fast-growing activity in which both adults and children can participate.
The seminar begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the Historic Cherokee Lodge on the grounds of Kenlake and will continue Saturday starting at 9 a.m. with prizes and awards given out during the day. The seminar is presented by Passing on the Tradition Support Group. To register, call Cathy Clark at the park at 1-800-325-0143.
