Buffalo Dinner and Native American Heritage Day Is March 26 at Kentucky Dam Village
GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Dam Village will celebrate its 38th annual Buffalo Dinner and Native American Heritage Day on March 26, 2011.
The event will feature a special buffet from noon until 8 p.m. that includes carved steamship of buffalo, buffalo brisket with cajun demi glace, smoked buffalo with chipotle BBQ sauce, fresh homemade buffalo stew, taco pie, fresh fried chicken, fried Kentucky Lake catfish, baked beans, au gratin potatoes, corn, green beans, fresh salads, breads, cheese, assorted cakes, cobblers and pies.
The buffet for adults is $19.95 plus tax and for children ages 12 and under $9.95 plus tax.
The other activities will include a variety of demonstrations about the Cherokee culture from 1-5 p.m. These will include bow making, pottery by hand, storytelling and cornhusk doll making.
