RICHMOND, Ky. – The Jubilo Music & Arts Festival is coming to Fort Boonesborough State Park, Sept. 13-16, 2012.

Jubilo is bringing an eclectic blend of music and arts to central Kentucky, featuring such headliners as Kentucky native Darrell Scott, Bonnaroo sensation Moon Taxi, Unknown Hinson, and popular festival favorites Bonepony and Big Leg Emma. The Jubilo Music & Arts Festival will also stage approximately 25 local and regional bands, all of which festival-goers can enjoy over three days of camping at one of Kentucky’s oldest and most beautiful settlements near Richmond.

With convenient access from interstates 75 and 64, Jubilo’s performance area at Fort Boonesborough will consist of two major stages on nearly 10 acres of seating area. The park offers RV and VIP campsites with electricity and water hookups, primitive campsites, an activities building and a central service building providing shower, restroom and laundry facilities, all in close proximity to the Festival Field.

Ticket buyers may access these facilities based on tier-priced tickets, ranging from single-day admission to three-day general admission to RV tickets and VIP tickets, all available at http://www.jubilofestival.com. Ticket buyers can purchase discounted tickets using code CJ1109 through July 31.

The Jubilo Music & Arts Festival is a grassroots organization operated entirely by volunteers. Proceeds from the festival will go toward establishing Jubilo’s nonprofit sister organization, Appalachian Uprising (APPUP).  APP UP has been created by Jubilo founders to provide scholarships and job opportunities to Kentucky’s Appalachian students through a project patterned significantly after Berea College’s work-for-tuition program.

The Jubilo Music & Arts Festival and Kentucky State Parks invite you to Fort Boonesborough for the Commonwealth’s biggest back-to-school party and a great weekend of performances, arts, workshops, and great local vendor foods!
